West End theatre is something probably most of us can't really afford that often, but if seeing the big shows is what rings your bell then you'll want to be heading down to Leicester Square this weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday from 1230 - 6pm, West End Live will take over the square to showcase all the West End has to offer and in particular on the theatre side. A large stage will be erected and throughout the day performances from the likes of Dirty Dancing, Lord of the Rings, Sound of Music, Stomp, Chicago and Mamma Mia will be performing extracts from their shows.

Exhibitions from various tourist attractions and museums will also be taking part at the event, so if you want to see exactly what that Spy exhibition at The Science Museum is all about, but don't want to pay £8, then here's your chance.

West End Live, Leicester Square, 23–24 June: for more information go to the West End Live website here.
