London Bridge Station Closed

A trackside fire in Bermondsey this morning has led to the closure of London Bridge station with Southeastern, Southern and First Capital Connect services to London Bridge, Cannon Street, Charing Cross and Waterloo East affected. The station will remain closed until at least 7pm this evening although London Bridge tube is still open.

Additionally road closures are in place at Blue Anchor Lane, Rockgrove Way, Southwark

Park Road, Lucey Way, St James' Road, Jamaica Road. Keetons Road and Clements Road whilst the emergency services tackle the blaze and residents have also been evacuated from the area.

If your usual route home passes through London Bridge then check your local travel operator for details of cancellations and diversions. Bring a book and some water, it's going to be a long one.

Dammit what is it with these people and their trackside fires? Can't they have their fires someplace else?
This is the second serious fire (involving Gas Cannisters!) on the SE lines in the past month.

Oh well...

First one to Bank DLR after 5.30 is the winner!
See ya there people...
