Between Earth and Heaven is Chloe Early's first solo show in London – runs from 25th May to 24th June at StolenSpace just off Brick Lane.
In Early's show, a series of paintings feature human figures diving in the air, seemingly oblivious and "apparently unrelated to the urban landscape they inhabit." The works serve as homage to freedom and self expression within the emptiness of contemporary urban landscape. According to the artist, these oil-on-aluminium paintings are "a fictional junction between the natural and urban environments." Sounds like her work will blend nicely with the show's East London setting.
