Taking A Swipe At Oyster

Taking A Swipe At Oyster

We've all had our run-ins with Oyster. When it works, it works well. But sometimes it sucks like a felating limpit. That's why Ben Jarvis and Tim Crook have launched badoyster, a company that makes satirical wallets for the maligned card.

Commuters don’t just want pictures of kittens and butterflies on their Oyster card wallet, we think they’d much prefer something that makes them laugh and better relates to the

reality of commuting on London’s public transport system.

Only Londoners could find satire in a plastic ticket wallet.

You don't have to switch to Oyster to join in the fun - the wallets can be used for paper tickets too. They've only got three designs for now, but give them a bit of support and this could become a new craze.

TFL have taken the Oyster card wallet revolution into their own hands -

TFL, Oxfam and The Arts Council have coincidentally all launched 'designer' travel card wallets in the last few days... but perhaps if TFL spent passengers gargantuan fares on improving the service rather than handing out free oystercard wallets in the name of 'culture' folks like BadOyster wouldn't have a target to aim their satire at?
