Reid Promises Prison Space For All

John Reid announced today that two more prisons will be built in order to house the ever growing number of bad people.

Bad people have been running amok for some time now in the UK, some would say as a direct result of the lack of prison space in which to house them.

One of the new jails, to be called Belmarsh West, is to be built next door to Belmarsh prison, and the other will be built at Mughull on Merseyside.

Reid said the new program of prison expansion will provide space for 10,000 new inmates.

Hopefully that will do it, and the problem of the bad people will all be taken care of, and we will all, finally, be safe.

Her Majesty's Prison Service currently holds 70,600 prisoners and employs around 45,000 people. The UK currently has one of the largest prison populations in Europe. 10 prisons in the UK are run by private companies.
