BBC:

A woman has been taken to hospital after police were called to deal with a suspect package at premises in central London. Bomb disposal experts are at the scene in Victoria Street in Victoria after police received a call at 0940 GMT. London Ambulance said the female employee had suffered minor injuries. The main road outside the building, which is just 200 yards from Scotland Yard, was closed off with a cordon set up around the entrance.

UPDATE: BBC News 24 and Yahoo are now reporting it was a letter bomb.

"We only saw the ambulance and fire brigade coming. A woman was injured and they just took her into the ambulance. She had bandages on her arms and her chest and she looked as if she was in pain but she could walk herself."

LATEST: It turns out that the office administers the congestion toll along with TV licences.

Fire crews set up a 50-metre (yard) exclusion zone around the scene, a Fire Brigade official said. Police sent in sniffer dogs to the street, one of the main arteries in central London, which was plunged into traffic chaos.
