Police seem to be close to solving a 17-year-old murder case involving a 'masseuse', television celebrities and three crossbow bolts to the head:
The 42-year-old worked at a massage parlour in Camden, north London, and saw clients from what police describe as the higher echelons of society at her £500,000 home in Friern Barnet.
She was last seen on June 23 1990 when she left the house at around 9pm to go to a party at her boyfriend's restaurant in Harlow, Essex. She never arrived and the next day her body was found in a country lane near Epping Forest. Detectives say she was battered and then shot three times in the head with a crossbow.
Patricia Parsons' diary, containing the names of her high profile clients, was never found. The case was recently reinvestigated by a cold case review team. Although they didn't get anywhere with new DNA evidence more traditional methods of investigation have lead the police closer to the murderer. They hope to make an arrest within the next fortnight.
We guess that a few celebs and politicians from the late 80's will be slightly nervous at the news...
