The Pool of London gets turned on today as Switched ON London kicks off:

A seven night celebration of the relationship between light, architecture and the city consisting of temporary lighting installations and a series of light related events with an overall concept theme of 'theatre'. So, the 'Gods of Light' willing, London's first festival of light will run from the 8th to the 16th February 2007

The Tower of London, HMS Belfast, London Bridge, No 1 London Bridge, Customs House, The Scoop, Hay's Galleria, Hays Wharf, the North and South walkways and the Thames are all in for an illuminated makeover. Snow and pretty lights on a battleship. What else could you ask for? How about mule muck and an excuse to get your helmets out?

The Festival will also include special events such as an illuminated bike ride (open to all)and sustainable street lights powered by donkey dung!

Awesome! We are so there. And not only because the suddenly Cylon looking City Hall seems to be spreading itself like a cheap Gherkin tease. The whore!
