Sherlock Holmes And Donald Pleasance Don't Like Daleks

Not one bit. The famous detective (or probably someone posing as him) has joined forces with the former Blofeld and signed a petition against the proposed Potters Fields development, beside Tower Bridge. SkyscraperNews spotted the unusual signatories, who've added their names to a list of 297 others who oppose the devisive towers. (Devisive as in this Londonista really likes them, whereas every single other person on the planet thinks that the blocks are an apalling intrusion.) The towers, which resemble dismembered Daleks, are designed by Ian Ritchie Architects, and form a fitting memorial to The Battle of Canary Wharf, nestling, as they do, up to the Mayor's Cyberhelmet.

Pick up the debate on the SE1 forum, or skyscrapercity.

The skyline on this architects visions will have to wait in line. I have already a photo on my London Night Life ( NightLife ), RMC which indicates there are those within London who have even wilder visions. They, and once you view the site, have already done it. Building are going up in the same manner as they do in Paris, and especially in Shanghai - which is now set not only for the tallest building ever, but the greatest urban spraw at the sametime. They, those in Shanghai are litteraly drug on SkyScapers buildings - a sort of urban social ego - centric opate.

Wait in line.....
