Every day this month the Londonist team will be pointing you in the direction of a Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won't already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we'll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings...

You're reading this so there's a fair chance you like London. But how much? We've got a present here that really separates the full time London nerds from the weekend warriors: Your Favourite London Sounds... on CD.

Buses pulling up at red lights, electricity stations humming, Big Ben, Bagel bars, lightning storms - this gorgeous collection is put together by people out there recording this stuff for the sheer love of certain sounds and noises. Strangely moving.

£15.99 is a bargain considering you're probably not going to find this little selection floating around your favourite bit torrent website. Probably not on the front wall of HMV either, but you can pick it up from the ICA shop.

Previously: Punk Rock Baby, London in a Bag, Sultan's Elephant.
