Winning, nay just being nominated, for the Mercury Music Prize can do a lot for you. While some of us might still be scratching our heads wondering where exactly Miss Dynamite have got to, those artists who were little known at the time of their nomination are happily running around doing massive tours and signing major deals.
One such artist is Seth Lakeman. Famous for making his nominated album Kitty Jay for the tidy sum of £300, he's since been signed to Relentless for the release of album number 3 Freedom Fields. Firmly rooted in folk, Freedom Fields is all about simple melodies and harmonies with a touch of furious fiddling.
And if you fancy seeing exactly what Lakeman inspired furious fiddling looks like in real life then you're in for a treat, as Seth and his band take to The Scala's stage on Tuesday evening. Unfortunatly, it's sold out, but we're pleased to be able to give you the chance to win a pair of tickets here at Londonist.
Simply fill out this form and we'll let you know if you're a winner Monday lunchtime.Plus as an added treat, Seth's website is offering a free download of album track, Setting Sun.
