Glasgow was last night named as the UK's top tourist city destination in a survey by one of the world's most exclusive travel magazines, toppling last year's winner, our very own London town.
The title is awarded by readers of Traveller, the US holiday guide for the rich and famous produced by Conde Nast.
In second came Edinburgh while London fell to third. In fourth came Newcastle (America's rich and famous.... holidaying in Newcastle?) and Leeds took fifth spot.
Conde Nast said Glasgow had been singled out for its people and hospitality as well as its lively nightlife. This begs the question, have they never been to Elephant and Castle?
It's not all bad news for London however, as it apparently has the best restaurants and accommodation. So there.
