  • Brian Haw appeared in court today for breaching conditions over his demonstration outside the Palace of Westminster (i.e. his placards exceed an area of 3m by 1m). The case has been adjourned for the defence to apply for a 'judicial review of the conditions imposed on Mr Haw'.
  • A survey has found that a quarter of bankers in the City expect their bonus this year to be more than double what they got last year. Makes ya sick don't it?
  • The annual Zagat survey has declared Nobu Berkeley to be the top newcomer among London eateries. Gordon Ramsay's Royal Hospital Road is 'best for food' apparently (always a good quality in a restaurant).
  • Armani is opening the first UK branch of its Armani/Casa home furnishings stores later this month on New Bond Street (where else?).
  • Jay Kay of Jamiroquai was arrested outside the club Kabaret in the early hours of this morning after "slapping a snapper in the face after verbally attacking the assembled paparazzi".
  • Image of the Budgie Man outside Tate Modern (who we really must interview one day) courtesy of scarty via the Londonist flickr group.
