Cyclists Mean Prizes

Velorution says:

We ride our bikes everywhere, but that doesn’t mean we want to look like it.

Londonist says: Amen to that brother.

As keen bicyclists, it always makes us green with envy when we go to Europe and see dapper gents and chic chicks navigating those picturesque European backstreets without a shred of lycra and no evidence of Goretex.

Luckily for us, it looks like Velorution have been thinking the same thing:

Late in the evening after the shop was closed and most of the lights in W1 were off, the “what if’s” and the “I’d likes” started flowing amongst a group bonded by the love of cycling. Soon it became apparent that everyone was after the same thing: functional cycling clothing that didn’t sacrifice style.

And even more luckily for us, they've actually done something about it: "We’ve been working with some very talented designers and together with them we are creating something special. Innovative. Stylish and created for Cyclists by Cyclists – Designed locally. Produced locally. See it first at our fashion show Spring 2007.

Praise the Lord!

Even better, as of next week you can start submitting your “worst dressed” cyclist pics to Velorution and then every month they’ll pick a finalist who will receive a pair of tickets to the aforementioned fashion show and entry into a draw for a mystery grand prize (we're crossing our fingers that it'll be one of these babies).
