A couple of weeks ago Outkast quietly skipped back onto the music scene and into London to preview their long awaited new album, Idlewild. The location for the preview was non other than the London Eye and both Big Boi and Andre 3000 were on hand to talk to the assorted media about both the album and the 1930s styled musical it accompanies.
Now to make up for not inviting us to their swanky London event, we’ve been promised some goodies as well as a preview of their new song Idlewild Blues. Sung by Andre 3000, Idlewild Blues is one of those songs that makes you forget you’ve got headphones in and that you’re at the office. Your workmates will soon be asking you quite why you’re gently swinging your hips and trust us, you’ll be singing the ‘dooo do dodooooo doo’ (not very descriptive we know) bit for days. It’s got a minimal bluesy sound and hell, it’s even got a mighty harmonica bit.
Listen to it here
As ever with Outkast, this Andre 3000 single accompanies a Big Boi track, Morris Brown, and we’ve a prize pack of both singles, as well as the movie trailer, to give away.
You just need to tell us what the name of Outkast’s highest charting UK single is.
