Look: a graph! Londonist just gets more thrilling by the day doesn't it?

Ok, so it might not be the most thrilling graphic we've ever posted but let's put it in context and see if that stems the flood of readers who are hastily deleting our bookmark from their 'favourites'.

The graph actualy comes from here, Google's new 'Trends' site, which is currently in beta.

"See what the world is searching for" runs the tagline, so of course we typed in London and the blue line above is what we got back.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that point 'B' refers to July 7, but the rest of the peaks are a little harder to guess at. Point 'E' for example refers to the last days of the Routemaster.

It reminds me of http://www.trendio.com a stock exchange on headline news where people can see trends in media and buy buzz-words.
