Spy Versus Spy

Spy versus spy.jpg

At Londonist, we’re no strangers to international espionage. Regular readers, or even irregular ones, might recall that we recently interviewed Rocky, the spying rock from Moscow. And he’s since become a firm, if disturbingly igneous friend. Last week he introduced us to this pair of covert intelligence outlets in Mayfair, practically next door to one another. These high-street Q-branches can be found at 59 and 62 South Audley Street. One’s a spy shop; one’s a counter-spy shop. It’s like we have a Cold War in microcosm going on in west Mayfair. As the current, grating vernacular goes: who’d have thunk it.

Hmm, they're a bit cheap-looking. Probably for ex-Soviet blocers only.

Now, Spycatcher of Knightsbridge, on the other hand....

(Think their shop in Lowndes St might have shut down, though.)
