Just a couple of gigs coming up that we wanted to mention quickly since we've been away for a few weeks.

Saturday: is of course the Love Music Hate Racism free gig in Trafalgar Square. Along with Belle and Sebastian, Lethal Bizzle, Boy Kill Boy, Kray Twinz, The Paddingtons, Roll Deep and a bunch of Babyshambles fans wondering whether or not they should just follow Dirty Pretty Things instead will be all girl post punk outfit, The Mentalists, introduced by X-Ray Spex's Poly Styrene, 30 years after the original Rock Against Racism movement.

Sunday: Track and Field present the The 7th Pow! to the People at the Barfly. Mazarin, Dressy Bessy, The Loft, Semifinalists, El Perro Del Mar, Beatnik Fimstars, Speedmarket Avenue and The Chemistry Experiment complete the line up. Doors are at 2, with Mazarin kicking off proceedings at 2.45. Last year The Pipettes played a late afternoon slot so a pleasant way to look out for someone finally worth listening to. Oh and it's twelve quid on the door.

Monday: The Victorian English Gentlemen’s Club continue their assault on the art pop punk world at 93 Feet East, and finally on

Wednesday: Some superior harmonious melodic pop prog from Leed's finest Four Day Hombre take to the stage of the Barfly.
