Here it is, the photograph of Ken Livingstone meeting Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at Buckingham Palace earlier today.
Looks cosy doesn't it?
According to the reports the meeting was "warm and friendly" and the pair had much to discuss including the strengthening of links between the Brazil and London: "President Lula and I agreed that London and Brazilian cities have much to learn from one another and that stronger links will be of great mutual benefit," said Kenny L.
There's no official news on whether Livingstone and Silva talked about the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes or not, but if they didn't that has to go on record as the biggest 'elephant in the room' ever.
Wonder what would have happened if Ken's suspension hadn't been lifted? Would they have sent Nicky Gavron to represent the city that managed to shoot an inncoent Brazilian? Talk about baptism by fire.
