The third annual Flamenco Festival has opened in London at the Sadler's Wells Theatre. Fifteen days of the Spanish art of flamenco has been programmed with performances both traditional and contempoary on the main stage and in the smaller Lillian Baylis studio theatre, while at the Instituto Cervantes there will be film screenings and talks.

Alongside all these displays of this passionate and powerful dance form, there will be song and guitar recitals too so the flamenco festival is as full-on as the dance form itself. Within the full programme, there are free post-show flamenco classes on Monday 20 February after Gala de AndalucĂa and on Thursday 23 February after Ballet Flamenco de AndalucĂa for those who want to have a go themselves.

The Flamenco Festival runs until 25 February at the Sadler's Wells Theatreand at the Instituto Cervantes. For more information and to book tickets for festival events, please click here.
