London, My London

A short while ago, Londonist asked Londoners to give up their stories and performances to The Space in East London that was, at that point, compiling a new season called Out of London. As part of that season, a fresh new piece of theatre has emerged: My London is written and performed by Ria Parry, directed by Ceri Turnbull and will be at the Space Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th December.

Elizabeth is obsessed with making her beautiful London a cleaner, healthier city. From the flying vermin in Trafalgar Square to the sneezing boys in Costa Coffee, Elizabeth is on a mission to save her London from dirty germs and dirty people.

Considering the state of the no. 24 bus this morning, that's quite a task she's taking on and will no doubt be a cracking one-woman show, about London by a Londoner. My London will be followed by story telling from Richard Heley.

For a more traditional Christmas outing, the Space will host a traditional Christmas carol session by the London Docklands Singers. The carol singing will take place on Monday 19th December at 8pm and promises mince pies, mulled wine and a lot of festive cheer. All proceeds go to CRISIS.

My London is at the Space, Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th December, 8pm. Tickets are £8.00, £6.00 concessions.
