'Tis the season to be jolly perturbed:
An attacker wearing a Father Christmas hat and beard stabbed a man to death in his home. The knifeman wore the red and white hat and full white beard when he murdered Sikander Shaheen, 25, in Leyton, east London, early on Saturday, police said.
What the hell is that about?

We prefer our crime to be a little less brutal and a little more old school and David Nivenish - although now that the Met has closed down the potential for a really good Christmas heist caper we're just going to have to hope that To Catch A Thief gets a screening over Chrimbo instead.
