The BBC is reporting that a supected thief was killed in the early hours of this morning after crashing his moped during a police chase.
At around 1:30 this morning police were called to a break in at Tiffany's in Sloane Square.
While two of the suspects escaped, two men were arrested in a car in west London and two others on a motorbike were also arrested after they hit a parked car nearby.
The man on the moped was pronounced dead on the scene after hitting a car in Cadogan Place. Reports say that a second passenger was critically injured and is currently being treated in hospital.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has launched an investigation.
