Ducking Hell!

Ducking Hell!

The Rightsize is the comedy duo who "did" Morecambe and Wise in the storming The Play What I Wrote which was less a tribute show than a surreal slapstick (with surprise celebrity appearances) trip through the dynamics of a comedy partnership - performed by a comedy partnership. Directed by Mr Earnest Act-orrrr himself, Kenneth Branagh.

The Rightsize, directed by Branagh again, will now "do" camptastic mullet-and-sequins magicians Siegfried and Roy in their new show Ducktastic. To "do" Siegfried and Roy properly, there should be their signature Siberian tigers performing amazing tricks. But the Rightsize don't have Siberian tigers. Instead, go along to see the show and be amazed by Daphne the Duck. She's a duck. Called Daphne. And the future career of hard-drinking Las Vegas stage magician Christophe Ursula Sassoon depends on her mind-reading skills and a pet shop owner from Portsmouth called Roy de la Rue (real name Roy Street).

If it's anything like The Play What I Wrote, there'll be some gobsmacking slapstick comedy (and it's looking promising already), celebrity appearances and the high-quality, hilarious surrealism we were treated to last time round.

Previews start on October 11th, the opening night is Oct 17th and booking has opened for what promises to be a cracking night out. Go here for more details and to book - and to have your mind read by Daphne herself. Ducktastic indeed.
