Banksy's work scattered across London tends to divide people somewhat, but not as much as great big fuck off illegal wall does.
Packing his stencils and spray cans, he went to the Middle East to share his vision with those living on the Palestinian side. His visit is recorded in the nine stencilled pictures, some surreal, some poignant, he left on the gigantic barrier. His latest work was on his website yesterday, labelled "holiday snaps".

The best bit (aside from the art) is this exchange between the artist and the military:
Soldier: What the fuck are you doing?
Banksy: You'll have to wait until it's finished.
Soldier (to colleagues): Safety's off

Banksy sucks corporate cock and should stop using MY streets as a promotional canvas for HIS career. It's vandalism and a lot of it is shite. He's welcome to take his chances with the Israeli military - I think they'd give him much shorter shrift than Islington Council.
I agree he's a polemical artist who views private property as a potential canvas. One can't help but wonder and enjoy his intrepidness, though. He does get out of the house and he has made an impression on one poster here, and clearly others. Perhaps he's begun turning that wall in Israel/Palestine into the next global art project...

banksy is a fucking toy who never put in a days work and thinks hes above graffiti and is the godfather of stencils.
Instead of putting in years of dedication the toy just does publicity stunts and rings up the corporate media for coverage, he'd be a sell out only he was never a real graffiti writer or political activist to being with.

Instead of running around playing on train tracks playing with gang symbols and spray paint he's in fucking Pakistan making a mural on a wall. He's not a typical punk ass who wants to build a name for himself, he wants to have a little fun, and while he does it he makes some kick ass art. Yeah, he likes to bend the rules and has a hellzah funny humor, maybe if some people would quit there bitching and realize how fucking sweet this guy is they could get along a little better. Years of dedication? This is all this guy does, everyday. Painting a whole damned elephant takes dedication.
