Transport Updates

The Underground: Services should be running on most lines, but there are no services on the Hammersmith and City and Circle lines.

District line will not run between High St Kensington and Edgware Road or to Olympia and its Wimbledon to High St Kensington service will be reduced.

Metropolitan line has no service from Baker Street to Aldgate but trains will be running north of Baker Street.

Piccadilly line services will run from Heathrow to Hyde Park Corner every five minutes, Acton Town to Rayners Lane shuttle every 10 minutes, and Cockfosters to Arnos Grove every 10 minutes.

Replacement bus services will operate from Arnos Grove to Finchley Central for transfer to the Northern line.

Still waiting to hear confirmation that a bus service will operate along the northern section of the Circle line.

Mainline Trains: All London mainline stations are open and there is a normal service apart from King's Cross. Trains are generally running half empty.

Docklands Light Railway is operating normally, but will not stop at Bank.

Eurostar's London to Paris service is running, although passengers traveling from the continent are being advised not to travel to London.

Buses: The buses resumed their service last night although there are suspensions and diversions around bomb sites at King's Cross, Aldgate and Russell Square.

You can expect extra security checks and an increased police presence.

Roads: The congestion charge has unsurprisingly been lifted, but you are asked not to drive into London unless you really have to. People seem to be heeding that advice as traffic is light.

Roads around Russell Square, Woburn Place and Aldgate High Street are expected to remain closed until Saturday morning.

There are also some cordons around Edgware Road, Chapel Street, Woburn Place, Tavistock Place, Burton Street and Flaxman Terrace.

Flights: Services are operating normally at all airports, and the Heathrow and Gatwick Express services are running to their normal timetables.

If you are leaving London today you are advised to arrive at airports early to allow plenty of time to check in as security checks are at maximum.

If you have any updates that we miss please throw them into the comments below and we'll update accordingly.

Have a safe journey.
