Well it's good to be back in the Londonist Music dungeon after the annual Pilton Pilgramage and staring at the crystal ball of RAWK !,,! to see whether there are any gigs of note on the horizon.

And of course there are.

First off we have mix'n'match music mashing maestro Mylo who's pulling a late one at the Brixton Academy on 5th November. Tickets on sale now.

Also up for a late night is Brighton's Big Beat Boss FatBoy Slim who after an apparently successful Glastonbury showing is back at the Academy on the 16th December. Consider it a Christmas treat and don't say we never give you anything.

More treats in store this time from the grouchy grinch that is Trent Raznor. There are a few tickets left for the Nine Inch Nails Brixton shows on the 4th, 5th, 13th and 14th here. With a coveted Londonist album of the week award and some apparently fiersome live shows it's more than a good excuse to break out the mascara and misery.

For those who like their pop slightly more winsome then friend of Jack White, Brendan Benson (who may or may not also be The Fountains OF Wayne) appears at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 14th October.

More gentle noodlings, this time of the country variety are to be had from the acclaimed Rilo Kiley this coming Tuesday at Kokos.

Also in a country vein but with a good 'ol fashioned dollop of southern rock and tales of small town badness, the most excellent Drive By Truckers bring their re-released The Dirty South album to the Islington Academy on the 7th September.

And finally Londonist had a wee accident when we saw who's been addded to the already excellent ATP Don't Look Back bill. The Melvins play through Houdini on the 4th October, Londonist faves Dinosaur Jr blast through You're Living All Over Me on the 31st August and there's an extra date for Mudhoney on the 17th September, all at Kokos which is rapidly becoming one of our favourite places to spend an evening.

See ya down the front.
