Free Time Travel Tonight!

The Scoop (that's the bit that's scooped out) at the More London (that's the bit with more... er... London in it) section of riverside in SE1 has been playing host to a series of open air free movies for the last few weeks. We've seen most of the movies on offer more than a few times, but sitting in that amphitheatre is very cool on a night like this and tonight's movie is something we haven't seen: Pool of London from 1951. Here's what the SE1 Direct newsletter had to say:

A unique screening of the 1950s Pool of London heist film will be shown as part of the More Movies season. Not only is it a great story involving the first-interracial relationship in a British film but also a great archaeology-on-film experience where people can see what the Pool used to look like 50 years ago. The old classification for this film is Category A which is the equivalent of a PG in modern classification.

Sounds like something we should check out.

If 9.15pm tonight is too short notice for you (or you'd rather just spend the night in the pub) here's the rest of the schedule.

You can always take in Dr No tomorrow instead...
