Dreams That Money Can Buy

Dreams That Money Can Buy is a brand new journal of contemporary art, poetry, prose and political satire.

In fact you may already have seen it as their first issue came out in March. So why are we telling you about it now?

Well, this Saturday DMCB's publishers have organised an evening of spoken word performances to celebrate their debut publication and the lineup is pretty intriguing.

Sophie Woolley (pictured) is one of London's most prolific prose writers and spoken word artists - she's the woman behind Sleaze Nation's D.J. Bird Diaries and has performed alongside Chris Ofili and Irvine Welsh in her time.

Michael Conroy is one half of Manchester duo Superqueens and has a well-deserved reputation as the political conscience of the North (think Simon Armitage crossed with Pitman).

And to top the night off there will also be a screening of Philip J. Hayes' film Mansize Tissues.

All this is happening at the Aquarium Gallery this Saturday, from 6:30 until 9:30pm. And it's free.
