Williams As Sellers?

mork_carded.jpg

Is Robin Williams any good or not? We can't seem to make our minds up.

Insomnia: good.
Bicentennial Man: bad.

The Birdcage: good.
Jack: bad.

Good Morning Vietnam: good.
Patch Adams: so very very bad.

So what are we to make of the news that Williams is to play the role of Peter Sellers in a forthcoming West End play?

The play, to be written by former Sellers script writer John Antrobus and his friend and producer Anthony Haas, will depict the final years of Sellers' life up to 1980 when he died of a heart attack; so it already sounds a better bet than last year's The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

But can you imagine hairy old Mork playing the comedy legend? We're having trouble with that one.

While on the thing of Peter Sellers roles, I am having a lot of trouble (and sense of dread) about the new Pink Panther movie with Steve Martin as Inspector Clouseau....!
