According to statistics released today the Northern Line is Godawful.
Why? Well, it's the only line on the entire sytem to have actually got worse in the past year.
Tube Lines (who seem to have spent most of their budget creating pointless Flash animations for their website) failed to hit performance targets in all four quarters for the Northern Line, and to top it off, Transco also underperformed when it came to "cleanliness, graffiti and condition of seats".
The worst statistic by far is the fact that "Northern Line passengers suffered delays and cancellations on all but seven days last year."
The Piccadilly Line, meanwhile, is top of the class, showing the greatest improvement of all the lines.
As you've probably read by now, Tube Lines are haggling with TfL at the moment to see how and when they can close the Northern Line for it's much-needed makeover...hey now there's an idea: Extreme Underground Makeover, get Channel 5 or ITV to foot the bill.
If Celebrity Love Island can make it to the airwaves then anything can.
