Author, journalist, and all-round nice bloke, Nick Hornby is to guest edit next week's issue of Time Out magazine.
The author of Fever Pitch, High Fidelity and most recently 31 Songs, worked on an occasional basis for the music department of the magazine in the early Nineties and has already stated that he "would love to be able to abuse this latest position by sacking people who were horrible to me, or who laughed at my literary ambitions."
Successful and bitter...we like it.
This time round Hornby has apparently "got stuck into choosing layouts, editing copy and writing coverlines and picture captions and also commissioned articles on football, literature, music and cricket.
Football, literature and music? Well, there's a shock.
One of the bands Hornby has decied to feature is Londonist favourites The Magic Numbers, so we'll definitely be reading that one.
