The Science Museum is once again playing host to an exhibition based on a movie following the success of its Lord of the Rings fan fest. No life size replicas of Sean Bean dead in a boat this time round, but you will get to see a certain paranoid android. Yep, props and sets from the big screen adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy are due to go on display from the 28th of May until the 27th of November.

We're still a tad worried about whether Douglas Adams' work will make an entirely successful transition to movie form, but seeing that Londonist still thinks that digital watches are a really neat idea we're going to give it the benefit of the doubt. And we have to admit that the new android looks great.

We always thought that Alan Rickman would make a great miserable Marvin ever since we bumped into him in Baltimore of all places and he treated us to a good moan about being unable to go anywhere in peace without the likes of us annoying him...

The movie opens this week. Don't forget to take a towel.
