Londonist just got a text message letting us know that tickets for the new Star Wars movie go on sale in London a minute after midnight tonight (or tomorrow morning if you want to be all chronologically correct). Empire has the scoop and also reveals the date of the premiere if you want to stand in the rain and shout "C3P0!" with the rest of the nerd army.
Revenge of the Sith is of course the third of the three prequels that George Lucas has forced upon us. Expectations are high despite the first being utter crap and the second slightly better (but only just). When Londonist declined the offer of tickets we received a second text message that read "but WOOKIES!". Now we know that everyone is excited about this but can we point out that Wookies are just very tall Ewoks.
Plus all the best bits are already online.
We'd be nicer to Lucas if he just stopped messing around with the originals but we recently learned that Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are all going to be re-re-released starting in 2007, but this time in 3D.
