Chelsea striker, Eidur Gudjohnsen was arrested sunday morning at 5am on suspicion of drink-driving, taken to a police station in South London and then released on bail until a court appearance in late March.
Not content with weaving his magic on the pitch, scoring in a pedestrian one nil win over Everton the day before, the Icelandic footballer was then seen weaving his BMW southbound on the A3 in the early hours before police pulled him over.
He's rumoured to earn around the £30,000 a week mark, yet apparently has an aversion to minicabs. Idiot.
But Londonists favourite footballing hijinks story this week comes from recent White Hart Lane transfer Andy "pee in a glass and make someone drink it" Reid.
Out at a trendy Nottingham bar "It is alleged that Reid tricked waitress Laura Truscott into drinking the urine through a straw after telling her it was a cocktail of spirits."
Luckily though this story has a happy ending: "It is then claimed that the following night that Laura and three friends were caught on CCTV outside Reid's home wearing scarves and balaclavas as they trashed the player's £50,000 BMW X5"
Footballers and the girls they hang out with, they're a wacky bunch.
Now that Reid is at Spurs though, it's best if he leaves the comedic antics where they belong, on the pitch, and in particular with Robbie Keane and his forward roll celebration.
