It's almost Friday lunchtime so if you still don't know where you're heading after work today then you're probably starting to panic about now.

Instead fo gettign all worked up why not take a deep breath, sit yourself down, and let Londonist help with a quick rundown of a few gigs that are taking place tonight.

Barfly at the Monarch

The Carling Live Sessions continue with Kaiser Chiefs, The Beat Ups (that's them in the picture believe it or not) and Amplifier.

Doors are at 7.30pm and it will cost you £7 to get in.

Upstairs at the Garage

DHC Mienhof (DHC stands for Digital Hardcore Commando by the way) are playing alongside the relatively calm, cool and collected Alex B.

Doors open at 8pm, entrance is £6.

Metro

On Oxford Street tonight you can catch Versus, with My Luminaries (a bit like Fountains of Wayne apparently), Anison, and "London based, electro-rock six-piece" the Delphian Complex.

Doors are at 8pm and it's £6 on the door.

Windmill

Moving south to the Windmill in Brixton, for the bargain price of £3 you can see the country-ish Ambershades along with floppy-fringed Brinkman, Striplight and the always entertaining Six 50 Whiskey.

Doors for the Windmilla are at 8pm.
