The devastating news this week is that Vanilla Ice has had to cancel his gig with Wolfpac at the Electric Ballroom tomorrow night.

To help you get over the blow here's a few other things which might just help fill the void.

(We try not to list gigs when we know they're already sold out but if you think we should, please make use of the comments section.)

Monday 29th

Club:Hedonistic is a free band night worth checking out. It takes place at The Archway (which is, funnily enough, opposite Archway tube station). The line-up is: The F*cks, After The Silence, Hedon, 100 Bullets Back.

If you're into Verve and Radiohead, you should at least enjoy Hedon's set. Londonist has been privy to some impressive demos which augur well for Hedon's future.

If you don't fancy that, then Killing Moon (right) play the LSE along with Metro Riots and Big Cash Prizes. Entry is a bargainous £1.

Saturday 4th December

Redjetson play a free matinee gig at Notting Hill Arts Club, as part of Rough Trade's weekly session Rota.

Jawbones and The Madeleines are also on the bill.

And finally, post punk No Star Hotel play the 12 Bar Club.

If you're unfamiliar wirth this lot then this film (mov file) should tell you all you need to know.

To get your gig or event listed or reviewed please contact us.

We're more likely to list bands we've heard, so if you're able to send us anything, do get in touch and we'll get back to you with further contact details.
